Our Practice

Hillside Gastroenterology & Nutrition is a solo-based private practice in Hanover, Pennsylvania. We are accepting and treating new patients, limited to gastrointestinal, nutritional disorders, and screening colonoscopies. Physician referrals to the practice are encouraged, but not mandatory. The range of age of patients we see is, but not limited to, five years and older. Typically, we see 4-5 new patients per day, along with follow up visits for existing patients.

Our endoscopies are performed in our AAAHC Accredited Ambulatory Surgical Center at Hillside Endoscopy Center, which has been approved by Medicare, the Department of Health, and licensed in the state of Pennsylvania.  Our facility offers the patient a safe, private, and convenient setting. The patient has a variety of bowel prep regimens to choose from prior to the colonoscopy. We have an anesthesiologist who will provide complete sedation and a qualified team who maintains comprehensive care throughout the procedure.

Dr. Thomas Biography

Dr. Paul Thomas has been in practice in the Hanover, Pennsylvania area since August 1998. He  graduated from Pennsylvania State University and Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed an internship at Allentown Osteopathic Medical Center, followed by an Internal Medicine Residency at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, Pennsylvania.

Dr. Thomas was on staff at Geisinger Medical Center for two years when he entered into the field of Clinical Nutrition and Gastroenterology. He completed a Clinical Nutrition Fellowship at Geisinger Medical Center, and then his Gastroenterology Fellowship at Guthrie Clinic in Sayre, Pennsylvania. While in private practice in Hanover, Pennsylvania, Dr. Thomas was involved in several clinical research trials for erosive esophagitis, ulcerative colitis, and diarrhea associated IBS. He is the Owner and President of Hillside Gastroenterology & Nutrition, Inc. and Hillside Endoscopy Center, LLC.
